1690 Famille Verte Lamp | In stock
Handbuilt terracotta lamps, decorated in white slip and sgraffito, depicting warriors, flag bearers and war horses. 1690 Famille Verte is a reworking of a traditional style of Chinese porcelain introduced in the Kangxi period of the late 17th century, which uses sgraffito on terracotta, as opposed to fine brush strokes and is defined by a typical palette of greens, blue and iron oxide. Pollen dusted moths flutter at the neck, attracted as they are to the light. These lamps are wired with antique-bronze fittings, Italian twist cable and bakelite-style plugs.
The Nón Lá shade featured here is designed especially for the 1690 Famille Verte lamp and is available to order separately in a range of fabrics, prints and colours. Click here for further details.
