Handbuilt terracotta dishes, decorated with white slip and sgraffito to celebrate the cold season. Winter Well dishes feature motifs from Frakturs, an American folk art genre introduced by the Pennsylvanian Dutch most popular between 1740 and 1860, along with specific design elements inspired by ancient ceramics from 12th century Iran. Watchful birds sit amongst fallen leaves and flora, framing encouraging lines for the darker months, in glazed colours of peat, tawny pinks and muddy greens.
